Tyson Engineering, Inc. of Kankakee, Illinois was established in 1952 by Harold Tyson and
Richard Tyson . Since its inception, the firm has provided Kankakee and surrounding counties
with civil engineering, land planning, environmental engineering and land surveying services.
In 1983, David Tyson acquired sole ownership of the firm and for the past 23 years has
specialized in municipal engineering. In addition to municipalities, our clients include the State
of Illinois, the Capital Development Board, park districts, educational institutions and private
developers. Our staff, consisting of over 30 persons, uses the latest techniques for design,
research and drafting procedures. We pride ourselves on our ability to communicate with
clients and governmental agencies in addition to providing the best service possible.
